Dr Al Baghdadi.

Tareq Al baghdadi, MD

Principal Investigator and Medical Director of Oncology Research Trinity Health Southeast Michigan

Dr. Al baghdadi serves as primary Principal Investigator of MCRC after a number of years as co-PI. He holds oversight of the scientific and strategic directions of Oncology research and guides a large medical practice in the conduct of clinical trials research across the Trinity Health Southeast Michigan region including six major hospitals. As PI, he is a voting and executive member of NCI's established clinical trials lead protocol organizations including the Alliance, Southwest Oncology Research Group, and ECOG-ACRIN. He has co-chaired numerous national, clinical trials protocols across a wide variety of disease sites. Dr. Al baghdadi's recent publications have appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA Oncology. His NCI committee appointments have included the National MDS Committee, Lymphoma Steering Committee and Leukemia Steering Committee. In 2019, Dr. Al baghdadi completed the ASCO Leadership Development Program. He received his MD from Damascus University in Syria and completed Hematology and Oncology Fellowship training at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr Elie Dib

Eli Dib, MD, MS, FACP

Deputy Principal Investigator

Dr. Dib joined MCRC in 2016 from the Sanford NCORP affiliated with South Dakota State University School of Medicine. In 2024, Dr. Dib was selected as the first community oncologist, in the nation, to receive an NCI Clinician Scientist award. This is a funded grant of nearly $600,000 that enables him to dedicate time to the continued improvement and growth of MCRC research. Dr. Dib's most notable accomplishments that qualified him for this award include being co-founder and Vice Chair of the Alliance Immuno-Oncology Committee and community co-chair of nearly 10 national trials. He has served several NCI roles including membership on the Genitourinary Cancers Steering Committee and the iMATCH initiative. He holds an Adjunct Faculty Lecturer appointment at Johns Hopkins University, teaching in the areas of Cancer Biology and Therapeutics and Individualized Genomics and Health. Dr. Dib is a graduate of Lebanese University and completed his Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at the University of Rochester. He is Associate Program Director of the Hematology Oncology Fellowship program based at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital.

Rose Juhasz.

Rose Juhasz, PhD

Regional Director of Oncology Research

Dr. Juhasz has nearly 20 years of experience conducting and overseeing health services and clinical research at both academic medical centers and community hospital settings. She is the administrative leader of MCRC holding oversight for research development, administration, finance and operational needs for both NCI and commercially-sponsored trials. She also serves as a Non-physician investigator over Cancer Care Delivery and Cancer Control and Prevention protocols. In addition to her research expertise, she has spent time leading health system analytics units that focus on the measurement of patient experience, safety, and other quality metrics. Taken together, she has high interest in developing and offering clinical trial programs that are patient and family centered and executed with the highest standard of safety and quality. Dr. Juhasz is co-PI of the Cancer Moonshot Biobank Engagement initiative for MCRC funded by NCI and Theradex Oncology. She holds a doctorate in Experimental Psychology from Indiana University and previously worked at Michigan Medicine for over a decade, including completing a post-doctoral research fellowship.
